Tournament Rules

Tournament rules will be solely set and observed by the organizers of the event and any decisions made on rules or ruling by the organizers will be final and not subject to any objection of any kind.

Rules for KLiiGO 2011 will include but is not limited to the following rules and conditions:

1) Only participants that have paid their registration and participation fees in full may compete in the Tournament.

2) Participants are allowed unlimited attempts in qualifying for the tournament as long as the participation fee is paid in full before each attempt.

3) All rounds MUST be completed within 1 (one) hour for each player or the round will be deemed Did-Not-Finish (DNF).
 If 2 or more participants are playing in the same flight, the time limit will be extended by the total number of participants,
i.e. for a 4-Player flight, the round must be completed within 4 hours maximum or ALL 4 Players will be deemed DNF.

4) All Participants must register and book their Tournament tee-off times with the Organizer so that a Referee can be appointed to observe and referee the attempt.

5) All Participants MUST book a Caddie for each round and the Caddie will be responsible for managing the touchscreen and the placing of lies of the ball for all shots.

6) No “Gimmies” are allowed in the Tournament.
All holes have to be holed out.

7) Participants may bring their own clubs (limited to 14) and equipment but must use the specially marked balls provided by the venue, as they are required for accurate readings on the PGA Tour Simulators.

8) Participants must agree to allow their rounds to be recorded both on video as well as on computer and their final scores printed for verification and audit purposes.

9) ALL Participants and Spectators do so at their own risk and the venue will not be liable for any injuries or damages incurred or sustained during the event.

 

Mode and Format of Play

Participants in the Gross or Professional Category will play gross best score over 18 holes of qualifying and ties will be calculated on a OCB Count back system over the full 18 holes starting from the last hole played.

For the finals, only the players within the top 40 scores will be eligible to play one more round of 18 holes to try to improve their placing and their position on the leaderboard.

At the completion of all 40 rounds, the best scorer will be named the KL International Indoor Golf Open Champion for 2011 and will win the top prize money purse as well as the Champion’s Trophy.

Participants in the Nett or Amateur Category will play nett best score on System 36 handicapping over 18 holes of qualifying and ties will be calculated on a OCB Count back system over the full 18 holes starting from the last hole played.

For the finals, only the players within the top 40 scores will be eligible to play one more round of 18 holes to try to improve their placing and their position on the leaderboard.

At the completion of all 40 rounds, the best scorer will be named the KL International Indoor Golf Amateur Champion for 2011 and will win the top non-cash prize as well as the Champion’s Medallion.

A player can elect to play in either or both categories during qualifying but can only participate in one chosen category for the finals.

If a player in any category has multiple positions on the leaderboard due to multiple attempts, only his best score will be taken into account and the following positions will be relinquished to other players next in line on the leaderboard.

If there is a tie for 1st placing on the final day for either category, the tied scores will all participate in a sudden death playoff starting on the 18th and then moving on to the 1st and repeated until a winner is declared.
